Voynich MS - Quire 5

Description

Quire 5 is a standard quire containing folios 33 through 40. The gathering mark is on f40v.

Similar heads in roots are found in the alchemical herbals. Alternatively, the heads in the roots could be a reference to to 'testes' and thus to an orchid, though the plant does not look like one.
